Acne Facial Treatment
An acne facial is a quick fix for clearing up acne. This treatment reduces acne by removing impurities, debris, and oil using exfoliation. During exfoliation, dead skin cells are removed to clear up dry and clogged skin. After cleansing, whiteheads and blackheads are extracted from the pores. If these impurities are not drawn out from the skin, they can worsen and take longer to heal. Your face will be massaged and left with a facial mask as a final step for this treatment.
Topical and Oral Medications
Acne medications are prescribed to reduce oil production, swelling, and bacterial infections. Results can take months to years to appear, which is why this is usually an additional maintenance step with acne facials and laser treatments. Depending on your skin type, you may be prescribed retinoids, antibiotics, salicylic acid, or other treatments. You may also be directed to take combined oral contraceptives to balance your hormones, anti-androgen agents, or isotretinoin. The correct medication will depend on your skincare professional’s assessment of your face, skin health, and lifestyle.
Acne Laser Treatments
Acne laser treatments affect the oil-secreting sebaceous glands in the skin. This decreases oil production, preventing acne formation and clearing up the skin. Laser treatments also target acne scars using light therapy. Acne scars can result in uneven skin surface and color, which are difficult to treat using skincare products like toner or astringent alone. Dr. Peter Kreymerman (he goes by "Dr. K") was raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He studied medicine at the University of Cincinnati. After completing his Medical Doctorate he moved back to Cleveland to pursue his general and plastic surgery residencies at the world famous Cleveland Clinic.

Jessica is an aesthetic nurse specialist with over 10 years of injectables experience. She is one of the only thread lift Providers in the Triangle Area, and is a Master Trained injector for Botox and Juvederm. In addition, Jessica has attended over 100 additional training classes, conferences, and symposiums. She and has advanced certifications in facial anatomy, threads, toxins and fillers. Jessica loves what she does, and is passionate about delivering the best results and outcomes for her clients.

Valerie brings over 10 years of medical experience to our Practice. She has a strong passion for aesthetic medicine and holds a master's degree in nursing. She has attended numerous trainings such as advanced injection skills, facial anatomy, as well as aesthetic symposiums and conferences. One of Valerie's best traits is her eye for detail and gentle touch while injecting.

Taylor is a Certified Physician Assistant with a background in Family Medicine. She has a passion for dermatology, wellness, and aesthetics. Born and raised in NY, she gained her Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. She moved to NC in 2022 and has really enjoyed being closer to the Outer Banks. She is devoted to helping people feel healthy and beautiful on the inside and out.
