Forever Clear Acne Laser Treatment

We use Sciton’s Forever Clear as our acne laser treatment. Blue light kills the acne-causing bacteria known as Propionibacterium acnes, or P. acnes, which can cause inflammation. Using Forever Clear eliminates the bacteria found in the oil glands in the skin. The result is less oil in the skin and less bacteria, leading to the resolution of acne in the treated areas. Types Of Acne Scars
There are four common types of acne scarring. Many people have multiple types of acne scars. Picking at acne lesions can cause more scarring than the acne itself, so we encourage you to avoid picking at your skin as much as possible.
Ice Pick
This type of scarring is characterized by deep pits that are usually less than 2 mm across. They extend into the skin, giving the surface the appearance of having been punctured by an ice pick.
Boxcar
Boxcar scars are angular scars with sharp vertical edges, and resemble Chicken Pox scars. Boxcar scars are often found on the cheeks or temples and may be shallow or deep.
Rolling
Rolling scars are usually caused by damage under the surface of the skin, and will often cause the outer skin surface to look wave-like. Rolling scars often appear wide and shallow.
Hypertrophic
Hypertrophic scars are raised and lumpy. They’re commonly on the back and chest, but can also appear on the neck and face. They are often the result of more severe active lesions, such as cysts and nodules.

For added efficacy, a chemical peel can be added during this treatment.
