What Are RHA® Fillers?

“RHA®” stands for “resilient hyaluronic acid.” These advanced HA fillers were specifically developed to treat dynamic facial wrinkles: creases that form and shift with facial movement. Unlike traditional fillers, RHA® uses a gentler manufacturing process that better preserves the structure of the HA molecule, allowing it to move more naturally within the skin.

The RHA® Collection includes four specialized formulas of increasing levels of thickness, each targeting different degrees of wrinkle severity and volume loss:

RHA Redensity™ – This is the lightest formula in the collection, designed to treat delicate lines around the lips and other fine surface wrinkles.
RHA® 2 – This formula works well for moderate expression lines and is commonly used to enhance volume in the lips or soften wrinkles around the mouth.
RHA® 3 – This version is fantastic for deeper facial folds (such as pronounced laugh lines) and provides more support for visible volume loss.
RHA® 4 – As the most robust formula in the collection, RHA® 4 is used to restore volume and contour in larger, dynamic areas like the cheeks, jawline, and lower face.

Good Candidates for RHA® Fillers

These natural-looking dermal fillers are ideal for people who want subtle, long-lasting enhancement with the option to make changes later on if they so choose.

RHA® fillers may not be suitable if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or allergic to lidocaine or hyaluronic acid. Our team will assess your goals and medical history to determine the best approach for your treatment.

The RHA® Filler Session

The procedure starts with cleansing the treatment areas and applying a topical numbing cream if desired. (RHA® fillers already contain a small amount of lidocaine.) We will then make a series of injections into the targeted areas to achieve your desired results. Since the appointment typically lasts 30 to 60 minutes, many clients schedule it as a “lunch break” treatment.

After Your Appointment

Recovery after RHA® therapy is quick and easy. Mild swelling, redness, or bruising may appear, but these usually fade within a few days. We recommend avoiding intense exercise for 24 to 48 hours to allow the filler to settle.

You’ll notice a difference right away, with full effects appearing within two weeks. The flexible nature of RHA® helps maintain smooth, natural-looking results as your face moves.
