What is Sculptra®?
Sculptra® is a type of dermal filler. Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, which work immediately upon injection to fill in lines, wrinkles, and folds, Sculptra® is made from PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid). PLLA stimulates your skin’s natural collagen production over time, reinforcing its inner structure and increasing facial volume lost to aging.
PLLA is a biodegradable substance that has been proven safe and used in medical products, including dissolvable sutures, for over 30 years. It is a vegan option, containing no animal byproducts or human DNA.
Am I a Good Candidate for Sculptra®?
The best candidates for Sculptra® are individuals over 18 who want to improve moderate to severe lines and wrinkles without surgery. Sculptra® is highly recommended for those who are allergic to other formulas made with animal byproducts.
Clients with a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring may experience complications from Sculptra®. It is also not safe for women who are currently pregnant, lactating, or breastfeeding.

How soon after Sculptra® treatments can I wear makeup?
You should wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup to avoid irritation or infection at the injection sites. Be sure to use clean brushes or applicators when applying makeup.

Jessica is an aesthetic nurse specialist with over 10 years of injectables experience. She is one of the only thread lift Providers in the Triangle Area, and is a Master Trained injector for Botox and Juvederm. In addition, Jessica has attended over 100 additional training classes, conferences, and symposiums. She and has advanced certifications in facial anatomy, threads, toxins and fillers. Jessica loves what she does, and is passionate about delivering the best results and outcomes for her clients.

Valerie brings over 10 years of medical experience to our Practice. She has a strong passion for aesthetic medicine and holds a master's degree in nursing. She has attended numerous trainings such as advanced injection skills, facial anatomy, as well as aesthetic symposiums and conferences. One of Valerie's best traits are her eye for detail and gentle touch while injecting.
